Environmental Planning

3dfx Design brings over 20 years of professional experience in environmental planning, visual assessments and Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis.  Principle, Aaron Souza, was born and raised in Gridley, California, which has given him an intimate understanding of the rural northern California environmental planning issues and the local culture.

Having lived and practiced planning in the Tahoe Basin, Aaron has become an expert in the Scenic Quality Standards of the TRPA codes.  Having developed an in-depth understanding of Appendix H and the Chapter 66 scenic requirements mandated by the TRPA, Aaron helps his clients streamline through the complicated entitlement process.  His projects range from major casino redevelopments, ski resort master planning, marina expansions, private lakeside residential projects, pier modifications and public environmental improvement projects.  His 14 years of Tahoe code experience and familiarity with the TRPA agency helps navigate his clients through a scenic maze of requirements.  His clients save time, money and maximize their project's developmental footprint while still maintaining the architectural vision of their project.
